It all started when my friend Jordyn had this tiny kitten living on her porch for 1 or 2 nights. Knowing I was looking to get a kitty she called me asking if I wanted to adopt it. Brent being a little hesitant, I jumped on the offer and we instantly became attached parents to this adorable little snuggle bug! He would always sit on Brent's school books while he was trying to study....he did anything he could for a little attention!

He was very skeptical when we began bringing in the baby furniture...he thought he was going to be our only baby! But he snuggled right into Colby's things and made himself at home! :)

He always wanted to be center of attention, even when we were holding our little baby Colby he wanted to cuddle right in the middle! He slept right under my arm every single night! When I was out of town he would sleep right on my pillow waiting for me to return. I even think Brent was a bit jealous that pumpkin always got between us!! :)

I took Pumpkin to the vet because he was acting a bit sick. He hadn't eaten in quite some time, he was very lathargic, when he all of a sudden stopped sleeping with me and I knew something was wrong. So we took him to Dr. Teare and to our SHOCK he informed us he had jaundice. I thought this was curable as is in a newborn, but apparently it had gone too far and his survival rate was near 20%. We opted out of the blood tests and treatments and decided that we didn't want our poor little baby to suffer any longer. I left Pumpkin at the vet and when Brent got home we went and said our goodbye's. It wsa one of the hardest decisions I think I have made! We let Colby give him one more "squeeze" and Colby giggled the whole time we were there because he loves Pumpkin SOOO much! Here is our last family photo! :)

Mommy will sure miss her cuddles! Pumpkin will be missed SO much, and it made me so sad to come home to an empty house. Brent allready asked me when we can get another kitty. I think I got him attached to cat's too! I love you Pumpkin! :) I will miss you!

Jessica so sad to hear this news! I didn't even know that cats could get Jaundice. That will be sad not to have him to keep Colby entertained.
